Course Overview

CLI College’s Accounting & Payroll Administration program prepares individuals for accounting and payroll business applications specialist jobs. This program provides an understanding of manual and computerized accounting payroll systems to prepare you for a career path in accounting and payroll administration. Students in this program will learn how to research, understand and incorporate trends that set are set by industry to ensure the program is constantly meeting sector standards. Our combination of classroom theory and hands-on experience gives you the skill to pursue opportunities with confidence.

  • Wonderlic SLE Score of 18

If English is not a student’s first language, they must provide proof of English competency. 


English Language Proficiency Requirements: 

  • IELTS – Minimum score of 6.0 with no subject test score lower than 5.5 or 
  • TOEFL – Internet-based test (IBT) – Overall 80 with the minimum in each component: Reading 20; Listening 20; Speaking 20; Writing 20 or 
  • CAEL: Overall, 60 No section below 60

Most important approach is to get organized. Keep records of all your loans along with their amount, terms, payment, and interest rates then keep in a safe place. Remember that waiting will cost you. Don’t be fooled by the six-month grace period you get before you have to start making payments. While you are not required to make payments during the grace period principal loans will still be waiting. Student loan must be paid back like any other loan. Your student loans cannot be forgiven, but if you need assistance paying your student loans enroll repayment assistance plan (RAP). When you receive Alberta and Canada student loans, they are reported to the credit bureau. When you do not make payment on your loan on time, you will create a negative credit rating. If you default on your student loan you could miss out on your income tax refund and be unable to obtain further loans and grants.
